Terms and Conditions

The Following terms and conditions are stipulated in relations to the Yelex Institute of Management Nationwide Business Leadership & Management Camp 2007 ("The Camp") organized in October, November and December 2007.

Duration of Camp

1. The Camp begins at 12.00 p.m. on its first day, at a specified location, and ends at 5.00 p.m. on the third day, at another location specified in the itinerary.


Deposit, Payments and Invitation Pass (Cash Voucher)

2.  A  non-refundable deposit of RM 50 must accompany a completed Application Form in order to reserve a place in the Camp.

3. Cancellations will not be entertained after the registration. In the event of cancellation, the applicant may apply for the RM50 deposit paid to be replaced with other Yelex Institute activities in the year, at the discretion of the organizer's approval.

4. All information provided on the registration form must be truthful, accurate and correct.

5. Registration should be completed and submitted to the Counselor of a participating School to this event, or the specified Yelex Institute contact person(s) for your school.

6. Reservation of place(s) in the Camp will only be reserved upon receipt of deposit by the organizer.

7. All forms should be completed and returned before the registration closing date. Late applicants may be placed on a waiting list pending space availability.

8. Payment of Camp fees in full must be received by the organizer prior to your commencement of the first day of the Camp. Payments are to be made to "Sekolah Pusat Akademik Yulek".

9. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or refuse the participation of any participant whom has not paid their fees in full before the commencement of the first day of the Camp.

10. Participants with their payments made in full will be prior consideration to participate in the Camp.

11. There will be no reduction of fees for late arrivals or early departure, including any unforeseen sickness, accidents, homesickness and so on that the participant may experience.

12. Your successful participation in your Camp of choice will be on a First Come First Serve basis. The organizer reserve the right to transfer you to another Camp of comparable content at its discretion, based on reasonable grounds such as overbooking of Camp of choice, cancellation of Camp, or any other unforeseen circumstances not within the control of the organizer.

13. The organizer will not be responsible for any cash or valuables that the participant (or between participants) may bring to the Camp or buy during the Camp.

14. The participant will be informed of the confirmed date of Camp/departure between ONE week after the registration closing date and ONE week before the first day of the Camp.

15. Organizers have the full authority to alter the itinerary in consideration of factors due to the participants' safety, affected by elements of weather and traffic conditions.

16. This Invitation Pass (cash voucher) entitles the participant of the Yelex Institute Nationwide Business Leadership and Management Camp 2007 to a cash discount of RM 100.00 per person based on the terms and conditions of the Invitation Pass.

17. Yelex Institute and the organizer retains full authority for the distribution of Invitation Pass (RM 100 cash voucher). Based on the application for Invitation Pass stipulated in the Camp Registration Form, approval or support must be given by a School Teacher or Yelex Institute staff for the Invitation Pass to be valid.

18. Each Invitation Pass is valid for ONE PERSON only. No additional person(s) to an Invitation Pass (cash voucher) is allowed.

19. The Invitation Pass (cash voucher) is non-transferable among participants. Ownership is based on the approved holder specific in an approved Application for Invitation Pass.

20. Invitation Passes (cash voucher) are valid until the specified expiry date, no exceptions will be entertained.


The Genting Add-On

The ‘Genting Add-on’ refers to the offer included in this Camp whereby participants are given the option during registration to choose to add a 1 Day, 1 Night Genting Highlands transport and accommodation package into their Camp arrangement.

21.    The Genting add-on is based on twin-sharing basis. Participants who are unable to locate a partner to fulfill the twin-sharing requirement may request for the organizer to arrange another participant of the similar Camp to share. However, the organizer retains its discretion to deny any participant of such request and is subject to availability of other willing parties’ agreement to such arrangement.

22.    The Institute will not be responsible for any fees incurred in traveling within Genting Highlands, food, Genting Theme Park entrance fees, entertainment fees and the like.

23.    The RM50 fee ‘Genting Add-on’ is for accommodation at the Genting Highlands First World Hotel as a leisure component (therefore deemed not a part of the Camp syllabus) is non-refundable and not redeemable after the registration.

24.    The organizer reserves the right to change the above specified accommodation based on availability or due to any other unforeseen circumstances into any other comparable accommodation.

25.    In the event that no accommodation is available for booking during the day of ‘Genting Add-on’, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the Genting Add-on and extend the participants stay at Kuala Lumpur and make alternative arrangements in substitution for the cancelled Genting Add-on.

26.    The duration of this Add-on, inclusive of traveling time will begin from the Third day of the Camp at 5.00 p.m. (continuing directly from the end of the official Camp) and end at 8.00 p.m. on the Fourth day based on a drop-off point utilized by the Genting Highlands Express Bus company, generally located either at Puduraya, Pasar Rakyat or Perhentian Bas Pekeliling.


Transport

27.    Transportation is provided during the stipulated course of the Camp’s duration.

28.    Except for special group arrangements, the organizer does not cover any transportation costs for the participants’ travel to the Day One starting point and from the Day Three ending point for return to their home or other places of preference.

29.    In the event of a special group arrangement, the above clause will be held in exemption for that particular group only. Transportation costs from and/or to their location of origin may be arranged for additional charges.


Safety

30.    The organizer respects the participants’ safety and privacy seriously. Safety is always the first priority of this Camp. The participant must also realize that he/she must play their role promptly in ensuring their own safety and refrain from any actions that may jeopardize the safety of any other member of the Camp, be it the facilitators, Games Masters, bus driver or fellow participant.

31.    The organizer and Yelex Institute however, will not be liable nor responsible for any accidents or mishaps that may occur if the participant(s) leave the Camp group without any permission of organizer.


Medical, Treatment and Health

32.    The Participant and his/her Parent(s) authorize the organizer or the Institute to obtain or provide medical care for participants, to transport participant to a medical facility and to provide treatment considered necessary for the participant's health and well being during the course of the Camp.

33.    The Participant and his/her Parent(s) agree that the organizer or the Institute has no responsibility for the payment for medical services enlisted for participants, and parents agree to pay all costs associated with that care.

34.    You are encouraged arrive healthy and prepared, with the required equipment, proper shoes and clothing.

35.    Proper attire is strongly encouraged. No slippers, ‘hip-hop’ attire or ‘hot pants’ are allowed during visits to most locations.

36.    You are strongly encouraged to prepare a sufficient amount of any specific medication for any sickness that you may have (e.g.: asthma, gastric and so on).


Insurance and Photo Release

37.    The organizer’s standard policy is to purchase Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) for REGISTERED participants one week before the first day of the Camp.

38.    The PAI may be in the form of extra insurance on top of the policy bought by the Bus company enlisted by the organizer or remain to merely the PAI bought by the bus company.

39.    The organizer and the Institute WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE for any claims of insurance if the participant FAILS to register within the stipulated time above.

40.    The Participant and his/her Parent(s) authorize the organizer and the Institute to use photos, videos and recordings which may be taken of or include the Participant, for sale or reproduction in any manner that the organizer or the Institute desires, for advertising, display, educational, audiovisual, or other use.


Special Needs

41.    The Institute does not suggest this program for those who would have difficulty walking short or long distances, climbing stairs, or otherwise requiring special assistance.


Participants

42.    To reiterate, the organizer retains the right to offer an alternative Camp date to the applicant of this Camp. The organizer or its representative’s acceptance of the Registration deposit and form does not guarantee you a seat. A match is needed between the needs of the camp and your availability, experience and skills. More details and effort put into your registration and application will improve your chance of participation in your choice of Camp date.

43.    If the participant is aged 18 or under, participants must obtain a declaration of permission signed by their parent/guardian, or another adult nominated by your parent/guardian to be responsible for you, authorizing your participation in this Camp.


Rules at Locations of Visit

44.    All locations visited during the Course of this Camp have their rules, regulations and policies. Please adhere to those policies. Breach of those rules, regulations and policies are deemed to be a breach of this set of Terms and Conditions.

45.    Bear in mind that if you do not respect the rules of the locations visited, you may be throw out of the premises and in certain circumstances may be taken up for legal action.


THE ORGANIZER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EXPELL ANY PARTICIPANT WHO BREACHES THE ABOVE AND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS IF THE PARTICIPANT INFRINGES THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN.

You, as the participant of the Camp are deemed to have accepted, will keep yourself updated of the addendums and will adhere to the above Terms and Conditions upon registering and paying the required fees for this Camp, and showing up in person during the beginning of the specific Camp dates.
